Review: The Versions of Us

This novel had me hooked at the first sentence. It is well-written and the story is told beautifully. I found myself hurt by some of the contents, and touched by other sections. I was confused by the layout, but not as confused as I thought I would be. And I loved the fact that there were three versions of Eva’s life instead of just the standard two – one where they meet and one where they don’t. The added story gives the novel a deeper insight and a better understanding of the three main characters.

I was so looking forward to seeing how it all ends, but was sadly disappointed. Instead of getting a finale, I got three which oddly was not as satisfying as it sounds. However, I still thoroughly enjoyed the novel and would recommend it to anyone who wants an easy read over a cup of tea…
