The title literally screams at you… You kind of expect things to be sinister and cruel and dark, and they almost are in this book. Almost.

Eden Day is a social outcast who lives in Copake Falls, a nondescript town where nothing exciting seems to happen. Her life is a mundane carousal, rotating between caring for her alien-obsessed aunt and dealing with her freak status at school, thanks to the situation at her home.
