This was a very pleasant surprise. I’d seen the title floating around for a bit but it wasn’t until a co-worker recommended it that I decided to actually pick it up. I tend to stay way from series novels unless the series is either well under way or altogether finished, but I needed a shorter read in between larger novels and this fit the bill.

And boy! am I happy that I finally cracked this open! The blurbs I’ve read like to compare this novel to other popular novels because I guess the marketing maybe calls for it (just because a book uses a particular style doesn’t make it “like” others who do the same), but make no mistake; this is a pretty exciting and original tale.
